Molybdenum (Mo)
Purity: 99.95%
Shapes: plate, square rod, round rod (custom size available)
A silver-grey metal. It can be forged and rolled at high temperatures. Along with tungsten, it is known as a metal of very high melting point. It can be forged at high temperature. It has very low vapor pressure, as low as carbon at high temperatures.
It is mechanically very strong from cryogenic to very high temperatures.
It is resistant to corrosion. It is commonly used as a diffusion barrier material in thin film industy
Chromium (Cr)
Purity: 99.5%, 99.9%, 99.95%
Shapes: plate, square lumber, rod (custom size available)
A hard, brittle, steel-grey metal.
The purity of commercial chromium is around 99% as it contains impurities such as iron, aluminum, and silicon. Electrolytically refined chromium has higher purity than commercial chromium.
It can be dissolved in hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid generating hydrogen gas.
However, it is not dissolved in oxidizing acids such as concentrated nitric acid or nitrohydrochloric acid because the surface is readily passivated by contact with oxidizing acids.
Passivated chromium is stable against normal acids.
Thanks to its excellent resistance to corrosion, it is widely used for electroplating and is a very important component of stainless steel.
Tantalum (Ta)
Purity: 99.95%
Shapes: plate, square lumber, rod (custom size available)
A blue-grey metal. It is highly malleable and ductile, and steel alloys containing Ta have high tensile strength.
This metal is well known for its resistance to corrosion by acids.
At temperatures below 150℃, it is not corroded by any solution other than fluorine, hydrofluoric acid, sulfur trioxide, highly concentrated alkali, and some fused salts.
Pure tantalum has excellent machinability.
Tungsten or Wolfram (W)
Purity: 99.95%
Shapes: plate, square lumber, rod (custom size available)
A steel-grey metal. Of all the metals, tungsten has the highest melting point and density.
It can be drawn to fine filaments
Niobium (Nb)
Purity: 99.95%
Shapes: plate, square lumber, rod (custom size available)
A malleable and ductile grey metal whose chemical properties are similar to those of tantalum.
It has high melting point and excellent high-temperature strength, and corrosion resistance similar to zirconium
Zirconium (Zr)
Purity: 99.95%
Shapes: plate, square lumber, rod (custom size available)
A lustrous steel-grey or greyish-white metal.
Zirconium powder has black color and highly flammable when mixed with oxidizing agents.
It resembles titanium, and its chemical properties are very similar to those of hafnium, which makes it very difficult to separate from hafnium
